Slow Down, Move Over for Line Crews

If you see one of our trucks working along the side of the road, please slow down or move over. It will help keep our line crews safe. And, in Oregon it's the law.

Typically cones, traffic signs, or flaggers will alert you of a crew ahead. When you see any of these indicators, please slow down or move over a lane if that is a safe option.

Thank you for helping keep our crews safe.

Pay Station Locations are Changing Jan. 1

Beginning January 1, we will have new dropbox locations for bill payments.

St. Helens Community Credit Union will no longer serve as a pay station.

Bank of the West in St. Helens will continue to provide pay station services. We also have a dropbox in front of our office.

Payment dropboxes will be inside at each of the following locations:

Customers facing disconnection will need to call us at (503) 397-1844 to report their payment, pay online, or pay in our office.

Spread Holiday Cheer with Our Warming Tree

Our GLOW (Give Light, Offer Warmth) Team will set up a Warming Tree in the lobby during the month of December. Rather than decorating a Christmas tree with traditional ornaments, the tree will be adorned with hats, gloves, scarves, and other warm winter apparel.
We will collect donations of handmade, new, or gently used items from employees, board members, and customers. All items will be donated to the local Salvation Army for distribution in the community.

Savings and Hot Water You Can Rely On

Energy-efficient and durable, heat pump water heaters give you reliable hot water. And they can save you up to 60% on your electric water-heating costs for many years to come.
We offer rebates of $150-$300 for qualifying installations. Make the switch to a heat pump water heater for energy savings and hot water you can count on.

Raffle Raises $1,200 for Low-Income Assistance

Left to right are GLOW Quilt Co-Chair Mary Ann Emerson, PUD GLOW Team member Heidi Ralls, quilt winner Judy DeMeire, and Guild member Sunday Summer.
This year's Quilt Raffle raised $1,262.25 for the Neighbor's GLOW Fund - enough to help 15-20 families in need of assistance with their electric bill.
The Columbia River Piecemakers Quilt Guild donated many hours of labor into making the quilt. All of the money raised goes into the GLOW Fund to provide emergency bill payment assistance to low-income PUD customers.
Judy DeMeire of Scappoose won the quilt.

Happy Holidays!

The Columbia River PUD Board of Directors and staff would like to wish you a merry Christmas and happy New Year!
Our office will be closed on December 25 and January 1 to observe Christmas and New Year's Day.
Crews will be on standby. If your power goes out, please call our 24-hour outage and emergency line, (503) 397-1844.
