Water customers will see an increase in their 2021 water rates. A typical single family annual bill is estimated to increase 4%. This includes water, wastewater, stormwater and streetlight fees. Despite the increase, rates for Centennial Water customers remain among the lowest in the Denver Metro area.
Rates cover the cost of water and wastewater operations and maintenance, debt service and capital reinvestment. Staff annually analyze rates for both the upcoming year and future years to ensure long-term financial stability and to avoid significant increases in any single year.
