With your help, we helped to conserve 949 acres, planted 6232 trees, restored 89 acres of riparian forest buffer, and connected 1400 individuals to the outdoors. First Night Resolution Tree Dec. 31, 2020 | noon-10 PM Getting outside is good for your mind, body, and spirit. It’s also good for conservation. When we’re outdoors, we learn to appreciate the beauty of nature and the importance of protecting it. Add your resolution to Centred Outdoors’ Resolution Tree, and commit to getting outdoors and being active in 2020. The resolution tree is located across from the State College Municipal Building

Centred Outdoors: First Night Hike Dec. 31, 2020 | 2 PM Join Centred Outdoors on the First Hike of the year on the Last Day of The Year. Dress warmly to tour the First Night ice sculptures that line the streets of downtown State College and watch as ice-carvers sculpt along South Allen Street. The hike will begin at 2 PM at the Centred Outdoors ice sculpture in Sidney Friedman Park.

Adventures in Conservation: Full Moon Hike at Musser Gap Jan. 10, 2020 | 6 PM Explore a winter landscape in the moon light. We will hike to multiple vistas on the State College side of Rothrock State Forest while basking in the glow of the full moon! This is a rigorous hiking adventure and subject to weather conditions. Registration is required.
