Swearing-In Ceremony
I am honored to have been sworn-in as your new Miami Beach Commissioner. Thank you to all my supporters who made this moment possible and showed up for the occasion! A special thank you goes out to my college roommate, Judge DJ Cannava, who officiated my swearing-in. It was a surreal moment to say the least.
The Beginnings of Light Rail
On December 16, the Commission voted to move forward with bringing a light rail transit system to Miami Beach. Mass transit will define the way cities move in the future. We can't pave our way out of congestion. Creating an alternative way to move around the city is crucial if we wish to increase our quality of life here on the Beach.
14th Annual Art Basel
Over 77,000 people gathered in Miami Beach for the four day art festival known as Art Basel. Art Basel attracted over 267 galleries from 32 countries. Every year this arts extravaganza provides a strong economic and cultural impact within our City.

MB Convention Center 2018
Construction has already begun for our new convention center. The project is slated to be completed by mid-2018 and will bring with it a new, state of the art park for our community to enjoy! Essential to the project is a new hotel. The hotel will go to voter referendum in the March 2016 ballot. 
Toy Drives for our Children
The Miami Beach Fire & Police Departments gave away gifts to over 1,200 Miami Beach children this holiday season. Both departments have been working tirelessly for weeks to ensure that every child in Miami Beach gets a gift for the holidays.
