Happy Holidays from Dallas CASA

Happy holidays from the staff at Dallas CASA! We are grateful to every volunteer, supporter and friend of Dallas CASA who has stood up for children who have experienced abuse or neglect and are living in the protective care of the state this year. Thanks to your care and concern, Dallas children in foster care had volunteers by their sides, providing hope and support as they navigated a complex child welfare system.

Holiday Giving Program Provides Gifts for Children in Foster Care

Most children dream of receiving special gifts during the holidays. But for children in protective care, life is so uncertain they can't be sure what the season will bring. Thanks to Dallas CASA's incredible and generous supporters, every child with a Dallas CASA volunteer received a gift this year. Thank you to every family, individual or organization who took wish lists made by the children we serve and fulfilled holiday wishes! You made the holidays a little brighter for children in foster care.

Include Dallas CASA in Your

Year-End Giving Plans

For Sofia, age five, life in foster care was confusing and frightening. Her Dallas CASA volunteer, Morgan, provided one of the only constants she knew during this time. Morgan showed up when she said she would, advocated for the educational support Sofia needed and found ways to connect with Sofia, who greeted Morgan at the door for visits with a broad smile and an outstretched hand.

“Looking back, I realize I was a part of probably the darkest year of Sofia’s life… But what I hope she remembers is that I cared about her."

After many months of drug treatment and parenting classes, Sofia’s mother was able to reunite with her earlier this year. Today, Sofia lives with her mother and grandparents.

Dallas CASA's trained advocates provide consistent, caring connections that are critical to children in need. This holiday season, we invite you to include Dallas CASA in your year-end giving plans so that more children will know the transformational power of advocacy.
