Happy Holidays!

This season, we were reminded of the incredible power of community coming together. Our Holiday Fair supported 70 households, including 130 adults and over 140 children, made possible by the generosity of so many.

With the help of 23 dedicated volunteers assisting with event setup, elf duties, and deliveries—alongside support from corporate partners, faith communities, clubs, and individual donors—this event truly reflected the spirit of the season.

From 500+ gift cards donated to the many hands and hearts working behind the scenes, every contribution helped make the holidays brighter for local families. As we reflect on the year, we recognize the trust, partnership, and collective care that make our work possible for families across our community.

Wishing you peace and joy this holiday season,

The Family Promise of Morris County Team

Advocacy

We’re excited to share that Joann Bjornson, CEO of Family Promise of Morris County, has been selected to serve on Governor-elect Sherrill’s Transition Interdisciplinary Advisory Task Force!

Congratulations as well to Peter Jacob of Family Promise Union County, along with our outstanding Morris County and statewide partners who were also chosen.

Together, we’re helping elevate the voices of families and community members experiencing homelessness and housing instability—ensuring their needs remain central to statewide policy and planning.

Community Partner Spotlights

Community support was on full display when Fingerpaint, a longtime supporter, visited our Central Office to help decorate for the Holiday Fair. Their donation of a new Christmas tree helped set the tone and made the experience even more special for the families we served. Thank you, Fingerpaint, for helping create a warm and welcoming experience this holiday season.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts continued their year-round support by bringing holiday cheer to the Our Promise Drop-In Center. Their team donated 80 winter gift bags filled with socks, hand warmers, snack bars, and Dunkin’ gift cards — and even decorated the space for the season. Twenty of these bags were shared with individuals served through the Morristown Sprint Initiative, extending the impact even further. Their care and creativity helped make the season brighter for everyone who walked through our doors.

We once again partnered with Holiday Hope to provide wrapped gifts to 18 children in our programs. This continued collaboration helps ensure families experience moments of joy and care during the holidays, with volunteers delivering presents directly to families when needed—extending the reach of this effort beyond our doors.

This holiday season, Gensler donated dozens of baskets filled with household items, birthday supplies, cozy gifts, and more—helping meet everyday needs while adding warmth and celebration for the families we serve. Their generosity helped bring comfort and care to families during a time of increased need.

Family Promise participated in Maxx & Sean’s Annual Christmas Toy Fair, where 35 households took part, representing 83 children.

In addition, Maxx & Sean also host an annual Thanksgiving Food Drive in support of Family Promise of Morris County. This year, 40 households were served, with remaining items shared with community partners to extend the impact even further.

Volunteers also played a key role by delivering toys and food to families who were unable to attend in person—helping ensure access and inclusion beyond the events themselves.

Thank you to Chimney Rock CrossFit, Randolph for including Family Promise of Morris County in your Giving Thanks Drive. Your generous donation of diapers, wipes, hygiene items, household essentials, winter gear, and more arrived at a time when many families experience added pressure—helping meet urgent needs during the holiday season.

Porzio’s Women’s Initiative Network (WIN) continued their tradition of giving by collecting over $3,200 in gift cards for the families we serve. This contribution will support more than 150 households in accessing essentials during a time when needs increase significantly. We’re honored to work alongside a team so dedicated to community impact.

We also extend our thanks to Monica and Hightower Advisors for their support of this year’s Holiday Fair.

Monica once again organized a personal collection of much-needed items, with Hightower Advisors joining in with additional contributions that strengthened this effort. Working with partners whose generosity brings dignity, warmth, and hope to families makes a meaningful difference during the holiday season.

Thank you to the Morristown Rotary Club for awarding a $2,000 grant to support a new storage shed at the Our Promise Drop-In Center. This investment will help us better organize and distribute essential supplies to our guests. We appreciate your continued partnership and support of our Morris County community.

Finally, thank-you to Operation Chillout for donating 70+ winter care bags for our Our Promise guests. Filled with sweaters, thermal pants, hats, gloves, and hand warmers in a wide range of sizes, these bags arrived just as Cold Blue season begins — helping ensure guests have access to critical winter items. Operation Chillout has supported our community year after year, and we value their continued outreach.
