'TIS THE SEASON

This is considered the busiest time of the year for a reason. Many of us are hanging Christmas lights, making cookies, and adding holiday songs to our Apple playlists. Others may be doing last-minute shopping or taking gently used items to the local shelter. However you choose to spend the holiday season, please remember to rest, reflect and enjoy the company of loved ones.

On behalf of our Founder and CEO, Shatina Edwards, Board Members, and staff we would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. 2021 was filled with many successes and we could not have made it possible without each and every one of you! We want to keep this good energy and dedication in 2022.  Stay positive and blessings to you and yours!

Access, Awareness, and Acceptance Discussion

Attention all parents and guardians of children 5 and older, on December 29th  at 7:00PM we would like to have an open and honest discussion around the pediatric/adolescent COVID-19 vaccination. Leading the discussion will be Dr. Ameera Haamid, Equity Advisor with the IMPACTIllinois Medical Professionals Action Collaborative Team (IMPACT) and emergency medicine physician at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital at Cook County Health. The pandemic has been a time of uncertainty and challenge for everyone. There is nothing wrong with parents feeling apprehensive and having questions about the COVID-19 vaccine. The goal is to leave the conversation better informed with the facts to make an informed decision regarding your child’s vaccination status. This discussion will take place via Facebook Live and YouTube. Feel free to share this invitation with others throughout the community.

•M.E.A.N. Girls Empowerment’s impact spans over 46 miles?!

•As of 2021, MGE has reached over 900 girls and provided over 96 mentoring sessions?

Obtaining a MGE van will not only assist in carrying out mission essential activities but aid us in expanding our blueprint and scope throughout Chicago. Please consider making a small donation before December 31. A donation of any amount is welcomed! DONATE HERE Thank you in advance for your help!
