Happy Holidays from all of us at OregonASK!
End of Year Federal Policy Update
As 2017 comes to a close, Congress tries to prepare for the new year by moving some key legislation forward, while others still lay in wait.
The much awaited Trump Tax Reform has officially made its way through the US House and Senate. From this $1 trillion tax break for business and individuals, we anticipate cuts in many social service programs and even education. Interested to know what that might mean for you? Take a LOOK HERE  for some of the broad changes and details associated with upcoming reform.

Although the Tax Reform bill made its way into law, the budget for 2018 spending continues to be a matter of discussion. Congress voted today for another continuing resolution (CR) to keep spending at current level until a full budget can be agreed upon. This CR will be in effect until January 19th. We will keep you posted about any opportunities to help advocate.
