We wish you happy holidays!

'Tis the season! As 2018 comes to an end, Pendleton Place would like to wish you and your loved ones the most joyous of holidays.

Many have given generously so that, this year, afflicted families and youth can experience Christmas memories they will carry with them. Our girls at Smith House will be sharing joy and laughter together this Christmas, thanks to your contributions. We were also able to provide assistance to the families of Connections Count clients, who will be able to celebrate with tangible gifts they would not have been able to provide without your generosity. Thank you for your part in this!

During the holiday season, we are surrounded by notions of love, gratitude, and family. At Pendleton Place, our mission is to help children and rebuild families. We want the youth in our community to have the fortune of experiencing and participating in the holiday cheer that so many of us have come to know and expect.

But our vision spans beyond the holiday season. We want to enable these individuals to experience a higher quality of life.  We hope that you will consider giving and affording even more children, young adults, and families the opportunity to heal, grow, and celebrate.

W. W. Burgiss Charities Grant

In November, Pendleton Place received a $6,239 grant donation from W. W. Burgiss Charities . We are so grateful that wonderful members of the Greenville community, like Burgiss Charities, believe in the mission of Pendleton Place. Through this donation, they are helping to fund start-up costs for the youth drop-in center. Thank you for equipping us to provide resources for homeless youth!
AFP's National Philanthropy Day Luncheon

In November, Pendleton Place attended the 2018 National Philanthropy Day luncheon hosted by the Association of Fundraising Professionals. We were able to honor distinguished members of our community whose philanthropic contributions have been invaluable to our cause and our organization. We could not accomplish our mission without the aid and generosity of those who give, and at this event we were thrilled to recognize the following contributors.

Corporate Philanthropist:  DPR Construction
Individual Philanthropist: Janet Block
Young Philanthropist:  Charlie Timmons
Volunteer Fundraiser:  Nela Laughridge
Thank you to all of our incredible honorees for the impact you have each had by contributing to the aid of  children, teens, and young adults affected by abuse and neglect. We would also like to extend our gratitude to AFP for providing a wonderful opportunity to honor those who give selflessly to our community. It is always a joy to celebrate others!
Volunteer Spotlight

We are so grateful for the time that Clemson FCA spends volunteering with the girls in residence at Smith House. Recently, they held a movie and game night with the girls! This group of collegiate athletes consistently comes and invests their time in these young ladies. They have brought treats and held craft, game, and movie nights at Smith House. The girls are always excited to spend time with them and look forward to their visits. Thank you, Clemson FCA, for being a positive force in the lives of these incredible and resilient young ladies!
Our Mission is to keep children safe and support families in crisis through prevention, assessment, and intervention.

Our Vision is a community where children are safe, families are strong, and victims become whole again.
