Nalini & Sandeep Agarwal, Co-Founders
Dear friends,
It feels great to be writing to you all after such a long time. My last email newsletter was over 8 years ago. As you can tell, we have been very busy making the best ghee products! Nalini, my dear wife, continues to make every batch of the ghee products that we sell. Since there is so much to share with you, let’s get started:

Nutrient-Dense Functional Foods
After completing my herbalist training from David Winston's Center for Herbal Studies in 2013, I have started to focus on formulating more nutrient-dense functional foods , such as Turmeric Superghee and PRIMALOIL . We are also in the final stages of offering a line of Ayurvedic Medicinal Ghee products (Shatavari Ghee, Ashwagandha Ghee, Triphala Ghee to name a few). Details will be coming out shortly!
Ghee, Spices, Oils, Ayurveda & More
Besides best selling ghee products, we now offer over 25 organic spices and spice blends , including an Indian Spice Starter Kit , which is the prefect gift for every foodie in your list this holiday season. We also carry many organic oils, teas, and Indian grocery products, and I invite you to visit our newly designed website and blog .
Travel to India with me
During my many visits to India over the past 3 years, I've had the opportunity to visit some spice plantations, and  I have learned so much about spices and their benefits! I will be taking a group of people with me to India in the fall of 2018 . I will keep you posted as the travel details are finalized, and would love for you to join me.

Curried Apple Soup

1 large onion, diced
1 large butternut squash
(OR 2 medium sweet potatoes)
4 carrots
2-3 sweet-tart apples, diced
4 garlic cloves
6 cups chicken or vegetable broth
1/2 tsp ground turmeric
1/4 tsp ground cayenne
1/2 tsp garam masala

Dice the onion, butternut squash (or sweet potatoes), as well as the carrots and apples. In a large soup pot, melt the ghee on medium heat and add the veggies, half the apples, and whole garlic. Cover and sweat the vegetables on medium-low heat for 10 minutes. Then add 6 cups of broth (or enough to almost cover the veggies), and all the spices, and simmer for 20 minutes or until vegetables are soft. Use a food processor, blender, or immersion blender to purée everything until smooth. Return to the soup pot, add the remaining diced apples and simmer for another 5-7 minutes until apples are slightly soft. Add sea salt to taste. Enjoy!
All the spices used in this recipe are included in the Indian Spice Starter Kit.
Awesome Tips from Ancient India
(and some modern ones, too)

Tip #1 - Mouth Fresheners
Spices are excellent mouth fresheners! Say NO to mints that use unwanted chemicals and sugar, and use spices instead. Spices we like to use include Cardamom or Fennel Seed or Whole Clove . Cardamom is mildly sweet and several seeds come in a small green pod. Simply break open a pod, remove a few seeds, and chew. Save remaining seeds for later. Fennel Seed & Clove can be chewed whole. Fennel tastes somewhat like licorice, but clove is warming like cinnamon, so be careful if you can't take the heat. ;)

Tip #2 - Heal Dry Lips
You know what's great for healing dry lips? GHEE! This winter, instead of using lip balms with unhealthy oils or added preservatives, use one simple ingredient, ghee. Ghee is packed full of nutrients and feels silky smooth applied directly to the lips.
