Dear Sonoma Valley Unified,
I wish you all a safe and happy holiday season. I thank our staff, students, families, volunteers, and community partners for collaborating to create the best learning experience for all our students. Thank you for your creativity, determination, and commitment to supporting our students to thrive today and tomorrow.
During this winter break, I encourage families to engage in conversations that motivate their children to think about their future career goals and the dreams they wish to achieve. Developing a vision of what is possible is an essential first step. I look forward to launching our Portrait of a Graduate, Educator, and System work when we return in January. We invite our families and community to participate in our Guiding Coalition meetings from February through May. This is a first step in aligning our district work with clear student outcomes. Please join us!
