It Takes A Village
Sunflower Hill is one of several nonprofit organizations selected by the Pleasanton Weekly to be part of the 2017 Holiday Fund. It's a wonderful accolade and we're honored to be alongside so many valuable nonprofits - all working to make a difference in the Pleasanton community and greater Tri-Valley area.

We know 'it takes a village' to ensure appropriate support services are in place, programs are created and outreach is accomplished. And when one organization succeeds, we all benefit. That's why, as we close out 2017, we encourage you to donate to this important philanthropy opportunity.

Your gift indirectly benefits ALL these nonprofits -- and when we can act together, to serve the residents of Pleasanton and the surrounding communities, everybody wins.

We hope you will support this important holiday tradition in Pleasanton.

Sunflower Hill Gardens Update
It has been a wonderful year in the Sunflower Hill Gardens! We had a great turnout and a wonderful time at the 'Holidays in the Gardens' event on Dec 9. Big thanks to the Livermore National Charity League for all of their help with this event. Special thanks to Lindsey Schroeder and her crew for organizing the event and all the activities. See photos of this fun event in our Flickr album

Winter crops have all been planted and our hundreds of gourds are drying! We have a few remaining butternut squash and sunchokes left to sell, and in January we will be harvesting  FennelLettuce,  Beets,  Baby Leeks,  Rapini,  Brussel Sprouts, Kale, Kalettes, Turnips, Parsnips, Spinach, Radicchio, Frisee, Baby Leaf Lettuce, Arugula, Sage, and Thyme.

SFH Gardens will be closed for the holidays Dec. 23-Jan.1, opening up again on Jan. 2.

Spread Cheer with Beer!
Got beer? We are thrilled and grateful to be Visit Tri-Valley's recipient for the 2nd year in a row for their 'Spread Cheer with Beer' giving campaign! From now through January 31, beer-lovers can pick up or download a passport, hop on the Tri-Valley Beer Trail, visit at least five out of 22 local breweries, taprooms or ale houses, and then sit back, knowing you've done good. For every passport with 5 stamps that you turn in, Visit Tri-Valley will donate $20 to Sunflower Hill!

All the details, including how to get your beer passport, can be found here
Thank you, Visit Tri-Valley!!!!
