Christmas Ponies!

Did you know that for 3 years straight, we welcomed a pony to the herd for the holidays? With the help of amazing donors and support from our volunteers, we made miracles happen!

2018- Jonas (Virginia)

2020- Po-Tato (North Carolina)

This year, our barn is filled to capacity with deseving animals that get all of the love and care we can afford to them, thanks in part to our amazing community of caring donors.

Christmas Conspiracy

Our very first Christmas pony came about in 2012! Our now VP was just a teenager in High School and had an organized plan to introduce a new pony to our educational programs at the barn.

We found a pony in a high risk situation at the New Holland Auction on Thanksgiving of 2012. Plans were put into place to pay her fee, pick her up and move her to a quarantine barn to get her needs met and make sure she didn't pick up any illness at the auction. We kept her a secret until she was brought to the farm on Christmas eve day as a Christmas surprise!

Abby has thrived with us for the past 10 years thanks to the support of our community of care!
