  • Only use safe, online options. Credit cards are the safest way to shop online because of the protection they provide. Credit cards allow you to return an item that isn’t what you ordered. And, if your card number is used fraudulently, you have zero liability in most instances.

  • Make sure your devices are protected. All the devices (computer, tablet, TV, or phone) you use for shopping should have updated virus and malware software on them. If you’re using apps, download them only from a trusted source, and avoid clicking on any email that doesn’t appear to be from a trusted source.
