Wintertime is snow joke!

That's why we want to remind all Sterling Heights property owners that the city has an ordinance requiring the removal of snow and ice from sidewalks within 24 hours of a snowstorm. This applies to sidewalks on all sides of a home or business.

Failure to remove snow may receive a reminder in the form of a yellow door tag issued by Sterling Heights Office of Code Enforcement.
On Dec. 20, the cities of Sterling Heights and Warren – joined by government, business and community leaders – came together to celebrate the opening of the transformational Innovate Mound project.

The multi-year project, which broke ground in August of 2021, reconstructed approximately nine miles of the Mound Road corridor between I-696 and M-59 with work phased over four construction seasons – opening on time and on budget. The new Mound Road will strengthen the region and enhance connectivity by incorporating state-of-the-art design and smart technology to create a modern corridor that will serve all users.
