Happy Holidays from the
Community Foundation
With a continued focus on greater impact, 2019 was another strong year at the Community Foundation. We continue to explore ways that we can be bolder in our leadership and invite new voices to join us in our work.

Knowing that we accomplish more together, we supported the creation and direction of new coalitions in which multiple service providers are coordinating their efforts to create added opportunity through out-of-school time programming and workforce development. Through the expanding work of our Civic Innovations staff, we also have called on the collective strengths of residents in our community to use their talents for good.

Thank you for partnering with us and making our work possible each day. From all of us at the Community Foundation, may you enjoy a peaceful and joyous holiday season!

4 Goals for Career Readiness
What do job-seekers in the Richmond region need in order to find a well-paying job and thrive in that position? And what do local employers need as they look to hire and retain prepared and capable employees?

A bold and spirited group of leaders has come together to tackle these questions and develop a more seamless workforce development system – one that addresses the barriers most often identified by job seekers and their prospective employers. This Workforce Development Coalition recently debuted four common goals that will guide their actions as they move this system forward.
