2018 Sustainability Project
 
The District is excited to announce construction activities have officially begun for the installation of solar covered parking structures at the EDH Community Park (1021 Harvard Way) and Promontory Community Park (2700 Alexandra Way). The District will be planting 27 Live and Blue Oaks at Community Park to replace the trees removed from the parking lot the weekend of November 9. Construction will continue on Wednesday, December 5. Dates are tentative due to possible weather. Please be advised construction will impact the Community Park parking lot between the Norm Rowett Pavilion and Teen Center.

Bass Lake Park Project

EDHCSD wants your opinion! Community input is encouraged as EDHCSD begins developing concept designs and preliminary ideas for the recently purchased Bass Lake land. The first draft of designs include walking and multi-use paths, lights for night time field use (similar to Promontory Community Park fields), all abilities playground, and disc golf course. The CSD welcomes ideas and suggestions from neighbors and organizations who want to help make this new park a reality. 6th Annual Holiday
Art & Craft Fair


On Friday, December 7 from 10 AM to 7 PM and Saturday, December 8 from 9 AM to 3 PM come down to the Norm Rowett Pavilion (1021 Harvard Way) for holiday gifts and crafts. If you're looking for unique gifts then make the Holiday Art and Craft Fair your holiday shopping headquarters. Handmade décor, wonderful items, and so much more! All vendor spots have been filled. Entrance to the fair is free!

Cookies With Santa

After the Holiday Art & Craft Fair, make way for Santa! Santa Claus will be at the EDHCSD for cookies and hot chocolate on Friday, December 7 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Pre-registration is required and the event fee is $5. Online registration can be done here. Day of the event fee (if space is available) is $10. Children under 24 months old are free.

11th Annual Breakfast With Santa

Start the yuletide season off with a festive morning of holiday cheer on Saturday, December 8. The event includes breakfast, visit with Santa, and a holiday craft! Two seatings available at 8 to 9:15 AM and 10 to 11:15 AM. Space is limited, be sure to pre-register today! Register online for the 8 AM session here. The 10 AM session is already FULL. Pre-registration event fee is $5 and day of the event fee (if space is available) is $10. Children under 24 months old are free.

Letters to Santa

Calling all kids! Santa is busy getting ready for the holiday season and his elves will be delivering your Christmas wish lists to the North Pole from December 1 to December 15. Santa would love to hear from all his friends in El Dorado Hills and promises to return letters. Letters can be mailed or deposited in the holiday mailbox at the El Dorado Hills Community Activites Building Gymnasium. Send a self-addressed stamped envelop to:

Christmas Tree Recycling & Chipping

Saturday, January 5 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Sunday, January 6 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM the District is recycling and chipping all green waste with the help of El Dorado Disposal. Bring your Christmas tree by during those days and times for a hassle-free and environmentally friendly way to throw out your Christmas tree. Trees must have all ornaments, lights, and misc. objects removed and flocked trees are not eligible for chipping. Decorative wreaths, garland, and greenery with metal, plastic, wire, lights and other objects are not considered green waste. Cash donations will be accepted by the EDH Promise Foundation to benefit the C.A.R.E program for residents who need assistance with recreation program fees. Click HERE for information flyer.

Youth Basketball

Youth basketball practices start the week of Monday, December 17. There are no practices the week of Christmas break from Friday, December 23 to Tuesday, January 4. Practices will continue on Monday, January 7. The first games of the season will be on Saturday, January 12.

El Dorado Hills Town Center Christmas Tree Lighting

On Saturday, December 1 at 4:00 PM join the community in the annual Town Center Christmas Tree Lighting. The event will have wonderful games, live music, and Santa Claus will be making his tradition EDH fire truck appearance to light the tree with magic glitter. There will be free cookies and hot chocolate with other snacks for purchase. Don't miss out!

El Dorado Hills Fire Department Santa Run

El Dorado Hills Firefighter Association is hosting its 55th year of Santa Run through El Dorado Hills. This year it is on Saturday, December 15 starting at 6:00 PM. The event will have Santa, Mrs. Clause, and the Elves travel through Town Center to collect canned food and new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. It will finish with a fireworks show, cookies, and hot chocolate provided by the EDH Fire Department.
Food Bank of
El Dorado County

The holiday season is fast approaching and your local Food is gearing up to provide all the fixings of a holiday meal for hundreds of at-risk children, seniors, and families that call El Dorado County home. El Dorado Transit

El Dorado Transit will now serve El Dorado Hills on an hourly schedule from 6:35 AM to 7:35 PM, Monday through Friday starting Wednesday, January 2, 2019. The route will start and end at the El Dorado Hills Park and Ride where it connects with the 50 Express and Commuter Routes. Stops include Safeway Shopping Center, EDHCSD, Oak Ridge High School, El Dorado Hills Library, El Dorado Hills Senior Center, Nugget Market, Town Center, El Dorado Estates, El Dorado Hills Business Park, and Heritage and 4 Seasons.
