December Member Spotlight - Dr. Christopher Watson

"As a new family physician starting my career during the COVID-19 pandemic, I faced significant distrust from patients. This encouraged me to improve my communication skills, engage with patients, and address their concerns in a changing healthcare environment. I focused on listening actively, validating their fears, and providing clear, evidence-based information. Connecting with patients was crucial, especially as many patients felt isolated and anxious."

Thank You for Attending the 2024 FAFP Winter Summit

Thank you to all 800+ attendees of the 2024 FAFP Hybrid Family Medicine Winter Summit, hosted from December 6-8 at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island! Whether you participated in-person or virtually, we hope that the learning experience was as enjoyable & worthwhile for you as it was for the FAFP leadership & staff.

Please do not report your credits to AAFP/CEBroker as this delays the process of proper reporting to the state. More than 550 attendees have claimed CME credits, and these credits were sent to the AAFP and CEBroker on December 11, 2024. While these credits have been sent, please allow 7 business days for them to be properly reported in both your AAFP and CEBroker accounts.

If you submitted your evaluation and claimed credit by Monday, December 16, 2024, your CME credits will be reported to AAFP and CE Broker before the end of 2024. Due to FAFP/AAFP office closure, credits submitted after December 16, 2024 will not be reported to AAFP and CE Broker until after January 2, 2025. Rest assured, credits claimed between December 17-31, 2024 will be posted the first week of January 2025 with no impact to membership status. As a reminder, please claim your CME credits by completing and submitting your evaluation no later than Friday, December 27, 2024.
