$35,000 to Project Soar
Earlier this month, we presented a $35,000 check to Project SOAR at the Cancer Center for Kids at NYU Winthrop Hospital. The program is designed to increase each child’s chances for a successful academic experience during treatment, as well as after treatment has ended.

This money will allow the psychosocial team to continue to meet the ever-developing, critical academic needs of
their school-age pediatric hematology and oncology patients. For children to thrive in the classroom, they need a smooth transition and often require ongoing assistance -- sometimes through their college years. Project SOAR nurtures the pediatric cancer patient, their family, and the academic community, empowering the success of their collaborative efforts.
Hicksville High School Lacrosse Team
On Sunday, December 8th, the Hicksville High School Lacrosse team visited the children at NYU Winthrop Hospital and delivered toys and gift cards to all.

Tory Burch Fundraiser
Sunday, December 15th was our fundraiser at Tory Burch in Manhasset. It was a great day filled with lots of shopping and champagne. The store donated 20% of the events proceeds to the Michael Magro Foundation.

Thank you to everyone who came by and supported the foundation.
Kingfish Holiday Market
On Sunday, December 8th, Kingfish Oyster Bar had their Holiday Market and it was a big success! Courtney did an amazing job organizing the day and brought together some of the nicest vendors to support the Michael Magro Foundation's mission.

The Business Power Hour November 27th
On November 27th, Terrie Magro was on The Business Power Hour with Darren and the Music Man where she discussed what the Michael Magro Foundation does throughout the year.

Last month, Terrie Magro was also featured on the Fairways and Fundraising Podcast powered by Golf Event Planning.
Matching Gifts
Did you know you can add to, possibly even double, your tax-deductible donation to Michael Magro Foundation with a matching gift?

Matching gifts corporate giving programs where companies provide a financial ‘match’ to their employees’ giving to eligible nonprofit organizations. Some will even provide matching gifts for employees who volunteer a certain number of hours to nonprofits.
