Message from President Dr. Joe Moon

Dear SWSO Friends and Colleagues,

On behalf of the entire SWSO Executive Board, I would like to wish all of you Happy Holidays! As we wrap up an amazing 2022, I just wanted to take a minute to express how excited I am about what 2023 has in store for the SWSO.

With the approval of the provisional by-laws at the Annual Session in Austin, we are hard at work with the next steps in our merger with SAO. Just like any case that we treat in our practices, a good plan is needed at the start. To ensure we have that good plan as a merged association, we will be meeting next month with our colleagues at SAO for a joint strategic planning session where we will sit down to define our vision for the future and identify the specific goals and objectives of our merged association.

Although the details are yet to be ironed out, one thing I can assure you is that our merged association will truly be stronger together and we will be able to provide more support and resources to all of our members. If you have any questions regarding the merger or any other topic, please feel free to reach out as we are always available to support our members. Thank you all for your membership and thank you for supporting our association and our profession.

Dr. Joe Moon, DMD

SWSO President
