The moment you've all been waiting for is almost here! Our NEW and IMPROVED Winter-Spring Activity Guide is coming out and registration is right around the corner! You may notice that our guide has a new look and we are so excited for you all to see! The new format will make it easier for you to find all of your favorite classes and will help highlight some of our new classes you may want to try out this season! With that being said, make sure to mark your calendars with these important registration dates:

With the holiday season upon us, children will be out of school December 24- January 1. WAWM RCS will offer a series of Non School Day Camps in December at a cost of $29 per day for residents and $58 a day for non residents. These camps will be held on December 26th, 27th and 28th. All camps will be located at Horace Mann. Each day will have a festive theme and will be packed with engaging, fun and interactive activities for your children. Please call today as space is limited and these camps fill fast!

Costume sizes are now being taken during your child's class. Please if you miss a day, check with Rachel at the front desk to be sure your child was measured.
Thursday classes ONLY- REMINDER on Thursday, December 13th classes will be moved to Irving Elementary School, 10230 W Grant. Please enter through the main doors. A sign will let you know where to enter. Questions, please call Linda Gritzmacher.
You may have seen Mary Blandino around at any number of events through the years. She has been a coach and volunteer for the WAWM School District and Recreation Dept for many years. Mary has been coordinating the Open Badminton and Pickleball program for over 40 years at several locations in the district. "The thing I enjoy most about the program is working with the participants and providing them an opportunity to play badminton and pickleball within the community". She is also a member of the West Allis Hale Athletic Hall of Fame, Senior Olympics Hall of Fame, and Wisconsin High School Volleyball Coaches Hall of Fame. You can join Mary at the open badminton and pickleball on Monday evenings from 7-9pm at Lane Intermediate School. Help us thank Mary for your many hours of service to our community. We could not do all of this without you.
Lincoln Park ZooLights - Sunday, December 16th
Lions, Tigers and Bears are all smiles this holiday season at the Lincoln Park Zoo Lights in Chicago. Light displays and holiday craze are sprinkled throughout the zoo while the animals are excited to see the visitors.
Chicago Shopping Trip
65 years has never looked to good! The WAWM RCS Dept. and our community friends and families traveled to Chicago for our Annual Chicago Shopping Trip on Saturday, November 24th
. The weather was perfect - no rain or snow - and the holiday shopping deals were better than ever! Thank you to everyone who joined us this year and we hope you join us again next year for year 66! Did everyone purchase their Garett's Pop Corn tin - I hear the store did an all-time high in sales because of us?!
Did your child just turn 3 and now need someplace to help get them ready for school? We have an awesome preschool program offered by the WAWM RCS Dept. for your child.
Classes meet from 9:00 am - 11:30 am and a calendar of which dates the children have off will be given at class.
Option 1, One day a week: You could sign your child up for either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and they would then come one day a week with the curriculum the same each of those days. A new session begins Monday 11/5 and goes through 12/19. Then in January there is another sign up for Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Cost for the 11/5 - 12/19 session is $75 residents and $113 non residents.
Option 2, Twice a week: You could sign your child up for either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and then also sign them up for Thursdays and your child could come twice a week. Thursdays curriculum is different from the other days. The cost of the remainder of Thursdays and the other day would be discussed with you by the WAWM RCS Dept. Program Manager, Linda Gritzmacher at 604-4911.

Want to do that last minute Christmas shopping without your children? But me this or buy me that or try and hide thing from them!!!!!
The WAWM RCS has a place for your child between 2 and 6 years old to go and have a blast singing, dancing, making crafts, reading books and getting some energy out.
Location is Franklin Fieldhouse.

Saturday, December 22 from 9 am- 12 noon
Cost per day per child for residents is $15 and non-residents is $23.

. In addition to our offerings in the Activity Guide we do have a new addition to our Enrichment in the area of Taekwondo. Master Eric of Dragons Training Center will be heading our new session of Taekwondo in the Winter/Spring.

WAWM 45th Annual Alumni Basketball Tournament
It is that time of the year again where you get to come back together with friends and classmates in order to feel older and more out of shape than the previous year. Yes that right, it is the 45th Annual WA-WM

WAWM Alumni Coed Volleyball Tournament
It is time to get your team together for the Alumni Coed Volleyball Tournament. This year's festivities will take place on December 26th and 27th at Frank Lloyd Wright.
