Merry Christmas and Happy Winter Solstice!

Hello Everyone!

We hope this newsletter finds you all safe and sound and ready for the holidays with loved ones. December's newsletter will be a shortened version with some special highlights and January's will be packed with some exciting new programs and events, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled.

We hope you all were able to come and enjoy the 2nd Annual Beth C. Wright Festival of Lights. There is still one more night to come and experience this magical event, Friday, December 31 ~ New Year's Eve, what a great way to ring in the New Year with your family & friends or your special honey! See details below for how to register.

We want to remind everyone of our mask policy here at the Center, especially with the rise in COVID cases throughout Maine. Everyone who enters the Center must wear a mask and follow social distancing practices whether or not you have been vaccinated for the time being. This is the current recommendation from the Maine CDC. We will be following these guidelines until further notice.

If you have any questions, need assistance or just want to say hi, please feel free to call us at the Center at 207-664-0339 or email us at

Happy New Year from all of us at the Beth Wright Center!
We invite you to join us for the last night of the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center 2nd Annual Festival of Lights on New Year's Eve, Dec. 31, 2021. What a great way to ring in the New Year with family, friends or that special person in your life. Come enjoy the sparkling magic of the gardens and woods surrounding the Center.

There is one more night available to enjoy these magical, illuminated gardens and woods that surround the Beth C. Wright Center, Friday evening, Dec. 31, 2021, anytime between 4:30 - 7:00 pm.

We are requesting that people call the Center at 207-664-0339 with questions or to make reservations or email us. This will allow us to safely hold the event.

Bar Harbor Savings & Loan, Darling’s Chevrolet, and Wallace Events are major sponsors for this year’s Festival of Lights. There is no charge to attend the Festival, but donations are graciously accepted.

All services, programs and events at the Beth C. Wright Center offered free of charge to people affected by cancer living in Washington and Hancock counties. The Center relies on the financial support of the Down East community to make these programs and services possible.
Check out some fun ways to celebrate Winter Solstice this year. Enjoy!
Start the New Year off with
"Meditations with Martina" on January 6, 2022
We'd like to highlight this wonderful program that we offer each month, "Meditations with Martina", lead by Martina Dittmar. The program takes place on the first Thursday of each month from 9 - 10 am EST on Zoom.

You can join us Thursday, January 6, 2022 to begin the new year with new methods to enhance your own peaceful state from the comfort of your own home.

All are welcome to join this group to connect with your body's inner wisdom. Martina will use guided meditations to relax and nourish the body using breathwork, sound, imagery, and other subtle techniques.
Each meeting we will practice together, share our experiences, ask questions, and receive practices to do at home.

Martina Dittmar helps people listen to their body's inner wisdom in order to heal from health problems. She does this through her work as an Ayurvedic Practitioner and Spiritual Mentor. She teaches people how to meditate, improve their digestion, heal their bodies physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, develop their intuition, and live through their hearts.

Martina Dittmar lives in Surry with her husband, son, and pets. She enjoys gardening, nature, and cooking. For more information on Martina’s practice, you can reach her using her website:
