July is finally here!
This time of year is a busy boarding time for us at Happy Hounds. If you're planning a weekend getaway or camping trip with the kids and need lodging for your pooch, be sure to let us know as soon as possible. Though we have never filled up for boarding, we want to make sure we have an accurate number of staff nightly. We like to limit our number of boarding pooches per staff member at night to assure everyone has enough space and to make sure all our pups get ample one on one snuggle and massage time.
Summer is in full swing and that brings schedule changes for many clients. Let us know of any changes in your standing reservation. We'd be more than to accommodate you and your pup's busy summer schedule. However, due to the regular no shows, we are continuing to enforce the cancellation policy. Please let us know prior to 7am via phone or email if you are keeping your scheduled pooch home to avoid the $10 charge.
Though Summer brings a lot of boarding traffic, it also opens up quite a few daycare spots through out the week due to kids and our teacher-clients being home. If your pup is in need of a fun time with friends, give us a call! We have multiple spots available throughout the week that we would love to fill with more furry friends to play with! Currently the week of July 8th, we have plenty of room left on Monday, July 8th with a couple of spots available for Tuesday, July 9th and Friday, July 12th. If you'd like to book your pooch, feel free to call, email or reserve online.

Meet Arlo & Gagnon
Arlo, a Papillion mix, joined the Happy Hounds family in February of 2013 at the age of 8 months. Don't let his small stature and pretty boy image fool you, Arlo runs the place. Between his hilariously bossy, entitled attitude to the way he loves nothing more than policing dogs at play, he's the total 'Rufferee' package. Arlo has those big, radar ears that help to determine when something is amiss, to which he promptly alerts staff to. This boy is full of confidence and it came in handy when his parents adopted the newest addition to their family, Oliver.
Oliver, a Border Collie mix, joined the Happy Hounds family in December of 2015 at the age of 1. This sweet boy was rescued from an animal hoarder. Because of his past, Oliver had a lot to overcome. He was so lucky to find a wonderful, patient family and even luckier to have the perfect little big brother to take him under his paw. When he began attending, Oliver was extremely shy, he struggled bonding with staff but always enjoyed the company of fellow dogs. Now that he's almost a 4 year pro, he's gained a lot of confidence in the pack(with the help of Tough Boi Arlo) and with the rotating staff. Though he has a new found confidence and a new leash on life, his favorite place in the whole world is next to his little big bro, Arlo.

Please leave nylabones and rawhides at home. If packing a large bag of food, be sure to write the amount per feeding on the bag.
* Lobby doors are locked between 10am and 2pm on weekdays(Monday-Friday). We will not accept any arrivals or departures during those hours.
* Dogs with expired vaccines will
not be accepted for daycare or boarding. We require an
updated vaccination record 48 hours BEFORE he/she arrives. If you are traveling abroad, we also will need a local contact in case of emergency.
* Your dog MUST have a snap "quick release" collar for day care and boarding, with
no tags attached. This is important for your dogs safety.
* Please let us know at least 24 hours ahead of time for cancellations and reservations.
* Be sure to inform us of any changes in contact information; phone numbers, email/home address, emergency contact, etc.
* If a family member or friend is picking up your pooch from daycare or boarding, you
must pre-pay your bill. If it's a last minute decision to have someone else pick your pup up, please give us a call with payment and let us know who we should be expecting.
