With the beginning of May comes some of everyone's favorite holidays! As I'm sure you know, Mother's day is May 10th, arguably one of the most important holidays for all of our pups. After all, what would your pup do without mothers to wipe dirty paws after a romp in the mud, make sure bowls are full and to offer a warm lap for an afternoon nap? On behalf of your pup, I'd like to wish all you mothers a Happy Mother's Day!!
Memorial Day is May 25th! You've probably been busy opening the pool, prepping the BBQ, and preparing to launch the boat for holiday festivities. For those pups who aren't invited to a Memorial Day party, they're more than welcome to spend the day celebrating with their fellow pooch pals! Our hours on Monday, May 25th are 8am to 5pm. Be sure to give us a call if you'd like to reserve a spot for your pup for boarding or daycare so we may staff accordingly.
Meet Mulligan, a chocolate lab! Mulligan joined the Happy Hounds family in July 2008 at the age of one. He is our sensitive man. Mulligan isn't shy when it comes to voicing his demands and opinions. If he wants love, he will tell us, doggonit! Once he hears one of us beckoning him forward, he flashes a happy smile and wiggles the whole way over. Mulligan tries his best to let everyone know when a good time for a nap is by trying to settle down the playing pups. You'd think due to his size and age, the dogs would listen, but they tend to go about their business, ignoring him. As much as it hurts his feelings when they refuse to listen to his demands, all it takes is a quick reassuring pet for him to know he is doing a good job. We appreciate your efforts, Mulligan!
Meet Maggie, a golden retriever! Maggie joined the Happy Hounds family in September 2008 at the age of 8 months. She has quite the funny personality. Maggie's first task when arriving is to help greet clients and their pups. Once her first major chore for the day is done, Maggie is worn out and in dire need of a nap. Her favorite place to snuggle up for a snooze is on a cot in the basement, right in the middle of the action. That girl can nap through anything! Maggie is often the first to know when it's lunch time. I mean, who doesn't love lunch time? Once pick up time rolls around, she's back to work at the door. Thanks for all the hard work, Maggie!!
Meet Sophie, a chow mix. Sophie joined the Happy Hounds family in August 2010 at 7 months old. She's such a pretty lady! When Sophie first began attending daycare, she was miss popular. Always playing with multiple dogs at once and never having time for a nap. She quickly matured from playful pup to sophisticated pooch. Though she still loves a good wrestle and romp with her best friend of the day, her favorite thing is a nice leisurely nap on the deck. She's definitely a good night time snuggle buddy. Sophie is full of soft fluff!
Meet Berkley, a coonhound. Berkley joined the Happy Hounds family in July 2013 at 4 years old. What a handsome man! Berkley had a rough beginning and despite not knowing his past, his mom instantly fell in love with him. Look at that face, how could you not?! First coming to Happy Hounds, Berkley was extremely shy. He began making doggy friends but was leery of the staff. After a few days of daycare, he did a complete 180, giving his new human friends love and kisses. Though he's still afraid of the outside world and new people, he loves his time at Happy Hounds. The moment he struts through the red gate, he's big man on campus!
These wonderful Happy Hounds pups celebrate another joyous, fun loving bone-chewing, birthday.

When boarding your dog with us, we MUST have your dogs updated vaccination records 48 hours BEFORE he/she begin boarding. If you are traveling abroad, we also will need a local contact in case of emergency.
Your dog MUST have a snap "quick release" collar for day care and boarding, with no tags attached. You can keep the snap collar in your Happy Hounds backpack. If this is not his/her daily collar we will change it out when your dogs arrive at Happy Hounds. This is important for your dogs safety.
Last summer we celebrated 10 great years of cage-free, fun-loving service with our day care facilities and our overnight lodging. Our staff is dedicated to your dog's fun and well-being.
