H appy Hounds News
November 2018

First and foremost, thank you to the parents and pups that were able to attend our event and for sharing so many laughs and memories with us! However, this thank you is intended to elaborate on so much more than just the great turn out at our party. We may be biased, but HH has amazing doggo parents and we couldn't be more grateful for you! THANK YOU SO MUCH for the goodies (because you know we love food), the gifts around the holidays, the company reviews, the recommendations, the new client referrals, the laughs at the door, the Facebook comments, the positive notes and for the overpowering amount of love, support, trust and dedication to Happy Hounds. When your dog first walked through the doors of HH, we grew to not only love your pup, but you as well. Thank you for all that you do and the uplifting support, because we wouldn't be the daycare we are without you. Seriously, you guys are great!!!!

For those of you that missed the party, have no fear! We took pictures! To view the photos from the Costume party, click here. While you're skimming through flickr, don't forget to check out the Halloween photos from last week.

Though I'm sure you're all aware, the Holidays are closing in on us quickly. Please make sure you're reserving boarding for your pooch ASAP. We want to make sure that we are staffed accordingly and have availability for all pups who need care while their family is away. If you need to book a reservation, click here!

Sincerely,

Happy Hounds

Meet Luke

Luke, a lab/shep mix, joined the Happy Hounds family in March 2012 at just over one year old.

Though not much is known about the first months of his life, what we do know is that this lucky boy was adopted into an amazing family. When Luke joined the Happy Hounds family, he was afraid of everything... except his fellow canines. During his first visits, he tried his hardest to avoid staff and only interact with dogs. The more he visited, the closer we could get until eventually he decided we weren't so scary.

Flash forward a few years and this loyal lad never leaves the side of his favorite staff member of the day. it's been a joy watching him grow and mature. Luke has become a total ladies man. Not only does he love lightly licking the lips of the pretty lady pups but he's basically ALWAYS down to give the staff plenty of lovin' as well. So much so, that it's guaranteed that if you walk into the pack on a Luke day, your hand will be covered in Luke kisses within 2.0 seconds.

Aside from his sweet, innocent, lover boy side, Luke takes playtime VERY SERIOUSLY... Especially when we pull out the tennis balls. This boy could play fetch all day until he dropped. And he's certainly not afraid to playfully body check his competition. Typically, he's the reason the game goes on longer than it should. I mean, after months of being sad and homeless, this boy knows how to work those puppy dog eyes. Let me tell you, his "just throw it one more time" gaze is literally impossible to ignore.

A huge shout out to his parents for seeing all the potential this scared little pooch had. Thank you for raising him, helping him overcome some of his fears and above all, thank you for sharing him with us.

Please leave nylabones and rawhides at home. If packing a large bag of food, be sure to write the amount per feeding on the bag.

* Lobby doors are locked between 10am and 2pm on weekdays(Monday-Friday). We will not accept any arrivals or departures during those hours.

*  Dogs with expired vaccines will not be accepted for daycare or boarding. We require an  updated vaccination record 48 hours BEFORE he/she arrives.  If you are traveling abroad, we also will need a local contact in case of emergency.

*  Your dog MUST have a snap "quick release" collar for day care and boarding, with

*  Be sure to inform us of any changes in contact information; phone numbers, email/home address, emergency contact, etc.

*  If a family member or friend is picking up your pooch from daycare or boarding, you must pre-pay your bill. If it's a last minute decision to have someone else pick your pup up, please give us a call with payment and let us know who we should be expecting.
