Weâre thrilled to share that exciting changes are underway at Pets In Need!
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our founder, Ann Ramsey Hill, who gifted us our clinic and the neighboring house, and to our dedicated grantors and supporters, weâve begun the transformations that will allow us to expand our clinic and surgical operations while relocating administrative and support functions to the house next door. At the same time, our clinicâs exterior is getting a well-deserved facelift â including new signage, an awning, and resurfaced pavement to replace cracked and damaged areas. These improvements will make our spaces more functional and even more welcoming for pets and their families.
We canât wait to share the progress with you!

â | A Purr-fect Fit for the Team: Krista Dragovich
Weâre thrilled to welcome Krista Dragovich as our new Practice Manager! With more than 20 years of experience as a Practice Manager, Krista brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and compassion to the Pets In Need team.
Krista shared, âWhat drew me to Pets In Need was the opportunity to use my skills to provide care, not sell it. Itâs rewarding to be part of a team thatâs truly focused on helping pets and families who need it most.â
Weâre so grateful she chose to bring her expertise to our mission. Her intelligence, warmth, and dedication are already making a difference, and weâre excited for all thatâs ahead with her leading the way.

Care doesnât stop at our clinic doors, it reaches into every corner of our community. This fall, our team partnered with Found House to visit a local camp and care for a sweet dog named Lola. Her owner, Al, has loved and cared for her deeply, and with a little extra support, we were able to provide vaccines and preventives to keep her healthy and protected.
Moments like this reflect what compassionate care is all about, meeting pets and their people where they are and ensuring that every animal, regardless of circumstance, has access to the care they deserve. We're grateful for partnerships with community organizations serving vulnerable populations. Without the generosity of our supporters we wouldn't be able to extend out care beyond our clinic to those who need it most.

â | We were so grateful to welcome volunteers from Rotary Club of Cincinnati to Pets In Need! The team from Rotary Do Days spent the day helping with everything from portioning dog food and organizing donations to refreshing spaces and preparing rooms for upcoming construction. Their hard work, energy, and teamwork made a huge difference and helped us tackle projects that keep our clinic running smoothly. It was such a joy to have them with us, and weâre thankful for their generosity and dedication. Days like this remind us how much can be accomplished when our community comes together to support pets and the families who love them. | | Lights, Camera, Paw-ction!
From clinic care to community outreach, our mission took the spotlight in our recent Cincinnati Refined video series and weâre beyond grateful to everyone who helped make it happen! Across the segments, viewers got a closer look inside our clinic with our doctors, learned how we partner with Found House to support the communityâs most vulnerable, heard from PetSmart Charities about the challenges pet parents face and how weâre working together to make a change, and met members of our Board who shared what inspired them to join our mission and how you can, too.
If you havenât seen the segments yet, visit our website to catch them all and see the heart of our work in action. And donât change the channel just yet, you might spot us again! Keep an eye out for our new commercial highlighting our work and the needs of those we serve.

At Pets In Need, we know that the future of veterinary care starts with the next generation. Thatâs why this fall, weâve been connecting with students and leaders shaping tomorrowâs veterinary professionals. From visiting with classes at Great Oaks Veterinary Assistant Program, to participating in The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine Career Fair, and touring the University of Cincinnati Veterinary Technical College with Dr. Jennifer Wells, weâve been inspired by the talent, passion, and compassion of these future veterinarian professionals.
Supporting the next generation is at the heart of what we do, helping students grow their skills and knowledge today means stronger care for pets and families tomorrow. The next generation is just getting started, and so are we, stay tuned!

Every month, moments of kindness unfold at Pets In Need made possible by You To The Rescue. This donation-based boutique on Montgomery Road collects gently used clothing, home goods, and pet items, giving them new life while supporting local shelters. Over the past five years, theyâve donated more than $375,000 to help animals in need, and their generosity reaches our clinic regularly, helping the pets and families we serve.
Amy Miller, founder of You To The Rescue, says it best: âIt is important to us to support Pets in Need since we are both working toward the end goal of providing care, love, and family for animals in the Cincinnati tri-state.â Because of their generosity, pets stay healthy and families stay together. It shows just how powerful care can be when itâs shared by a whole community.
| | | Thank you to the many that give to us year-round. From the homemade pet beds, to the hand cut wood ornaments, to the donations of unexpired medications and so much more. To our volunteers that come on site or give of their time in other ways please accept our APPAWSE! | | As we enter the season of giving, weâre remind that generosity takes many forms, a listening ear, a helping hand, a prayer, a donation, or a simple act of kindness, each one making a difference for pets and the people who love them. | |
