Summer Schedule Starts July 1st

Extra Runs Added

Due to the July 4th holiday, we have added several runs over the next couple of weeks.

Thursday, June 30th - Departing BR at 7:00 PM, Departing PI at 7:30 PM

Friday, July 1st - Departing BR at 1:30 PM, Departing PI at 2:30 PM

Tuesday, July 5th - Departing BR at 9:45 AM, Departing PI at 10:30 AM

Book Passenger Tickets in Advance

We expect to reach passenger capacity on several ferries over the holiday weekend. To ensure travel, we highly recommend booking all tickets, including passengers, in advance.

Bristol 4th of July Parade

The parade will be taking place in Bristol on July 4th. Road closures begin at 8 AM.

If you are planning to come to Prudence Island on July 4th, you must arrive at the ferry dock prior to the 8 AM road closure or you will not be able to get to the ferry.

To assist the Bristol Police department with vehicle traffic downtown, the 9:45 AM, 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM ferry runs will be open to passengers only.

Parking in Bristol

Parking in the ferry lot is now for vehicles with marina permits only. Other vehicles will be towed or ticketed.

Free day parking is available in the lot across the street from the ferry.

Paid overnight parking is available from the Bristol Harbormasters Office. Call 401-253-1700 for any parking related questions.

Beverages on Board

Thursday through Sunday visit the new on-board service bar on the 2nd level deck for some summer refreshments!

The bar is serving some great beverages from local brewery's in addition to soft drinks and water.

Notes from Officer Tavernier

With the island getting busy for the summer, please remember the speed limit on island is 20 mph and people are not allowed to ride in the back of pickup trucks. Also, please be respectful of your neighbors by keeping the noise level down after dark.
