Rabbi Barry Silver and Cantor Carol Garrett will share prayers, music, song, and inspiring words and messages to begin our Sabbath and to carry us through the week! You will feel the "ruach" (spirit) of this beautiful holiday through the inspiring team of Rabbi Barry and Cantor Carol!

We now have parking availability and entry directly into the Addison Auditorium, bypassing the Mariposa entrance. We look forward to being with you for Shabbat on Friday, July 8th at 7:30 pm!
 
Join us for our exciting and rational interpretation of Judaism, Shabbat, and the Torah! We provide the service, its prayers, readings and song on screen for all to view and join in together! Please plan to schmooze with us following the service at our Oneg Shabbat, a special time to meet and greet and share the joy of the Sabbath.

Directions to THE MARIPOSA:
 
  • The Mariposa is easily and conveniently located on the southwest corner of Hypoluxo Road and Lyons Road, 9130 Hypoluxo Road, in west Lake Worth, near west Boynton Beach.
  • You can get there by taking either Boynton Beach Blvd west to Lyons Road, just past the Florida Turnpike entrance, and heading north on Lyons Road, OR by taking Hypoluxo Road west and crossing over the Florida Turnpike overpass to Lyons Road.
  • At the intersection of Hypoluxo Road and Lyons Road, go west on Hypoluxo Road, just west of this intersection.
  • Make the first Left into the Mariposa Senior Living center.
  • Go straight and continue to the small guard house (not attended).
  • Turn LEFT IMMEDIATELY AFTER the small guard house and bear left circling on the left side of this Mariposa residence building
  • Continue to the opposite side of this residence building, and you will be directly in front of the glassed doors to the Addison Auditorium on your right.
  • You may park in any of the spaces within this area, including in the circular drive in front of and near the Auditorium doors, as long as not blocking others driving through or dropping off guests.
  • There will be YELLOW Congregation L'Dor Va-Dor signs showing the way within the Mariposa property.

YIZKOR Book of Remembrance 2022 -5783
L'Dor Va-Dor carries on the time-honored tradition of honoring and remembering our loved ones throughout the year, but we are able to immortalize the names of your loved ones within the pages of a beautiful memorial booklet produced annually. This book will be distributed on Yom Kippur for our Yizkor Memorial service on October 5, 2022. We will also make this booklet available digitally on our website.
 
We hope you will join in and pay tribute to your loved ones by adding them to our special book for this year's High Holy Days.
 
  • Each name remembered is a $10 donation.

The deadline for submissions and payment for our 2022 Book of Remembrance is September 10, 2022. Book of Remembrance forms will also be available at our Shabbat services at The Mariposa.

FOURTH ON FLAGLER CELEBRATION
Monday, JULY 4 at 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm ET
West Palm Beach waterfront
Along Flagler Drive, between Banyan Blvd and Fern Street
In-person (no pre-registration is required)
 
4th on Flagler is one of the largest Independence Day events in South Florida. This event returns this year and will include live entertainment, the Bill Bone 5K, the Palm Beach Health Network Family Chill Zone, a Military Honor Salute, and refreshments for purchase. An 18-minute fireworks show is scheduled for 9:09 pm, weather permitting, over the Intracoastal Waterway. Bring chairs and/or blankets and enjoy the festive evening! Those who may not be able to attend in person, can watch from the comfort of their home on TV via a live broadcast on WPBF 25.
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH presents the following programming:

The City of Delray Beach is excited to be hosting the 4th of July Celebration again for 2022! It’s been a family-friendly event for over 50 years and draws 80,000 people to our Village by the Sea. The event starts at 5pm with the solemn 60’ flag raising ceremony, with an honor guard and the singing of the National Anthem. We invite the public to join us for this ceremony. Our celebration has something for everyone – a custard-eating and cheeseburger-eating contests, food trucks and vendors, children’s activities and games, non-stop entertainment with DJ Big Smile and Groove 2.0 Band, and so much more! The spectacular Zambelli Fireworks will start promptly at 9:00 pm.

Please consider donating to one of the organizations that is actively providing assistance and/or working with citizens of Ukraine, or the Ukrainian refugees that have fled to surrounding safer countries, including the U.S. (for example: HIAS, UNICEF, Red Cross, etc).

To find out more about the lawsuit filed by Rabbi Barry Silver, on behalf of Congregation L'Dor Va-Dor against the state of Florida against the anti-abortion law, please CLICK HERE. This lawsuit uses religious freedom and the first amendment as its basis. Planned Parenthood and the ACLU also filed a lawsuit earlier and they obtained a temporary stay for this new law to not yet go into effect.
