Laurie Klein Photography
Our Loss
Many of you new Judith Mamiya, who passed early this morning in her 80's. She was a maverick in photography for decades with a sense of humour that was witty and dry. You never knew if she was kidding or totally serious. She will be missed by us all. We are sending love to her family.

Photo of Judy during my workshop in France in 2012. I will deeply miss her.
We all grow differently, just like branches on a tree,
and yet our roots are all connected.

It has been a while since I sent out a newsletter. Needless to say during a physical move, covid and re-inventing my relationship with my images, making art has been daunting, exciting and filled with possibilities.

WORKSHOPS

Shelley and I are developing a few new infrared workshops that have all the bells and whistles, it will be amazing and start in the fall. We are also working on a 6-month zoom workshop: Concept to Completion, with incredible guest speakers.

How about joining me in Turkey for a one-of-a-kind workshop? One of my incredible students, Linda Caldwell, who lives in Istanbul is helping me design the
workshop for 2023.

Another exciting workshop for 2023 is "Horses as our Muses" in Michigan.

The Female Form in the Maine Landscape.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
In case you missed my interview with Adobe:
"Arts educator and infrared photographer Laurie Klein knows just how powerful photography can be as a wellness practice, especially for those who are new to creative pursuits. For over 30 years, she’s been teaching people from every walk of life — including doctors, lawyers, and other “left-brained” professionals — and transforming them into creators in their own right. Her classes pair photography and psychology to encourage personal growth, challenge fears, and develop a deeper, more meaningful relationship with oneself. Photographs are a mirror into your soul,” says Klein."
