Combined Meeting Report

The two vestries met on Thursday, February 21st in Bolingbroke. The meeting began with a shared Scripture passage and opening prayer. January financial reports were shared electronically before the meeting. An opportunity was given for vestry members to ask questions about the reports. The focus of the meeting was the formation of a profile committee and the setting of a timeline for the work of the profile committee and eventual search for a Rector to serve both churches. Sunday School
Learning about Lent

Sunday is the first one in Lent. We continue to share Bible stories of Jesus’ love starting at 9:30 a.m. in the large Sunday School room. A step by step Lent map will help us follow this holy season that began on Ash Wednesday. Children and youth resume creating new interpretations of New Testament stories using Legos, too.

The nursery will also start at 9:30. Please contact Ms. Deb if you have any questions.

Soup Cook

We will once again prepare homemade soup for the clients of The Great Valley Food Cupboard during Lent. Please join us for a cooking session at Bolingbroke on Saturday, March 16th from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. If you can't make it or would prefer to cook individually at home, sign up in the Gurley Room. Containers and instructions will be provided. Cupboard clients are already asking "Will there be soup this year?", let's respond with a resounding YES! If you have any questions, please contact Pam Faber.
Lent Madness
Saintly Fun!

Want to be inspired by some saintly souls this Lent and have fun along the way? Join with thousands of Christians across denominations who have discovered the joyful online learning community that is Lent Madness. With its unique blend of competition, education, and humor, Lent Madness allows participants to be inspired by the ways in which God has worked through the lives of saints over the generations. Based loosely on the NCAA basketball tournament of a similar name, this online devotion pits 32 saints against one another in a single-elimination bracket as voters choose their favorites throughout Lent. Watch for copies of the saintly brackets on the bulletin board in the downstairs hall at St. Martin's, and printed for you to take home. To learn more, visit the Lent Madness website.

Clothing Drive
Donation Opportunity!

Spring is coming! Time to go through your closet and thin out your wardrobe. St. John’s Episcopal Church in Norristown is in need of clothing, especially blue jeans and men's pants. Perhaps there are some gently used pairs in your closet that might benefit someone in need. There will be a clothes basket on the first floor of St. Martin's marked “Clothing for St John’s”. There is also demand for sleeping bags and sneakers. Any questions, please see Dennis Bingham. Thank you for your generosity!
