Commencement

Commencement is just around the corner, and we are so excited to celebrate the incredible achievements of the Class of 2026 at the UPMC Events Center! To help you plan your visit, here are the essential details:

Dates & Times:

• Graduate Ceremony (Master's & Doctoral Degrees):
• Friday, May 15, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. (Doors open at 3:00 p.m.)

• Undergraduate Ceremony (Bachelor's Degrees):
• Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. (Doors open at 8:30 a.m.)

Parking & Arrival:

Graduation day brings heavy traffic to campus and University Boulevard, so please plan to arrive early. Free parking is available in the UPMC Lot, Colonial Way Lot, and Upper UPMC Lot. For guests requiring ADA accommodations, primary parking and drop-off are located at the UPMC Gate on Massey Way.

Cap & Gown Reminder:

If your student missed the April 17th deadline for home delivery of their cap and gown, please have them visit the RMU Spirit Store at Patrick Henry as soon as possible, where a limited selection of regalia is still available.

Move Out

We have communicated to our students to begin making plans to depart campus within 24 hours of their last final. Residence Halls will close on:

• Non-Graduating Seniors - May 9th at 12:00 p.m.
• Graduating Seniors - May 17th at 5:00 p.m.

Fall 2026 Course Registration

It is not too late to register for classes for the Fall 2026 semester! Please ensure your student has registered before they leave campus for the summer. The Center for Student Success is available to help with registration if needed. For more information visit rmu.edu/css.

New Students

Welcome to Our Newest Families! If your student is beginning their RMU journey this fall, we are absolutely thrilled to welcome you to our campus community! As the start of the semester gets closer, please stay tuned for important updates to help your family prepare. In the meantime, here is what you need to know:

• Housing Accommodations: First-year resident students will receive notifications regarding their fall housing assignments from the Office of Residence Life soon. If you have any questions, please contact Residence Life at (412) 397-5252 or click here for more information.
• New Student Orientation: Mark your calendars! Orientation events will take place from Thursday through Sunday the week before fall classes begin. Be sure to keep an eye on revolution.rmu.edu for the latest updates and event schedules.
