Greetings!

Happy Memorial Day. I always remember this holiday as time together with my family sharing good food and music at our cabin in Sumneytown, Pennsylvania. My Dad was in the army before I was born, so today, I'm thinking of him.

I wanted to let you know that Digital Summit Portland is coming up June 12th and 13th and I have a $50 off Code - Albert50 if you're interested in attending. I've gone the past 2 years and it's a great place to learn about digital marketing. The networking is pretty over the top, as well. If you're looking for someone to work with on a project - this is where to be!

I got a chance to speak to the Oregon State Extension Service and a small business class at the SBDC in the last week. I always love teaching people in person - it gives me a chance to share the 10 years of wisdom I've gained in digital marketing and to make new connections who I hope to continue a relationship with for years to come. I love hearing back from people who've taken my classes. Speaking of which - I'm always seeking new places to speak/present. If you are looking for a speaker for an upcoming conference or need training for a group, please let me know.

Take care,

Albert Kaufman

PS - Many people are writing to me about GDPR and whether it affects them. Here's an article that's inline with my thinking - which is that for most US small businesses and non-profits this is not a current concern. IE, I'm not recommending any change in behavior unless you're doing business in Europe.
3 Great Reasons to have a newsletter for Friends and Family

I've been using email to send out a newsletter to my friends and family for the past 11 years. The response has been fantastic and it's made me a believer in taking the time to send word to your personal network on a regular basis.

My friend, Ben Bochner passed away about 7 weeks ago. For some reason I'm feeling the urge to share this song with you - Walking Each Other Back Home . It seems appropriate for Memorial Day. You can hear lots more of his music here .
