Memorial Day is this weekend and not only does it mark the transition from Spring to Summer, but it is a day to remember those who fought and died in service to our country.
It is an honored practice in our great Nation that is marked by remembrance ceremonies, parades, celebrations, and family gatherings across the country.
This year’s celebrations will look different in order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. While some gatherings will be virtual, I hope that you will have the opportunity to connect with those you love.
As Commissioner, I am thankful by their service, dedication, and resilience. We thank you and your families for your sacrifice. You make a difference. Stay healthy, stay safe, and stay connected!
I wish you all a peaceful Memorial Day and an enjoyable long weekend.
