Paradise Valley United Methodist Church
Music Celebration Sunday, May 13 is Mother's Day and our annual Music Ministry Celebration. We included a special insert in the Looking Ahead this week, to recognize the adults, children and youth active during 2017-18 in PVUMC's music ministry. Thank you for sharing your gift of song and music with us! Everyone is invited to join us Sunday at the 9:30 am worship service to witness the abundance of musical talent at PVUMC. It's a wonderful way to celebrate Mother's Day!
Pastor's Message

  Dear Friend in Faith,

Sunday we celebrate a mother’s love, which can accomplish so much in human life. We celebrate the ways that God’s divine love is shared through women who have been mothers in our families or spiritual mothers in our church and helped us to grow in the grace of Jesus Christ. I’ve always liked how Proverbs 31 begins, “A capable wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life.” (Proverbs 31:10-12).

We do know how fortunate we are to have a capable wife or mother. Truly the best gifts that any of us can pass on have to do with faith and character, helping others to know and trust in God and to live in ways that exemplify our deepest values. This Sunday we’ll talk some about the mother of John and Charles Wesley and how she was truly the mother of Methodism for all of us. We remember her...
