This Mother’s Day, we honor all mothers and mother figures who continue showing up with love, strength, and care, even while facing challenges that are often unseen.

We recognize the women rebuilding after violence and trauma. The caregivers who continue giving of themselves while balancing responsibility, grief, and uncertainty,.

We honor the resilience it takes to continue nurturing others while healing ourselves.

Healing happens in many ways. Sometimes, it begins with simply being cared for — with moments of rest, dignity, connection, and joy.

On May 12, ELAWC is hosting a special day of healing and appreciation for survivors and mother figures in our community.

The day will include:

Hair, makeup,and nail services

• Yoga and wellness activities

• Confidence styling

• Light brunch and refreshments

• Sephora self-care gift bag

Your support helps create these meaningful experiences for survivors who so often spend their lives caring for others. Together, we can offer a space where they feel seen, celebrated, supported, and cared for in return.

A Gift of Appreciation

As we celebrate the maternal figures and wisdom keepers this month of May, please consider donating to ELAWC in honor of the ones you love.

You can help a woman who needs support now to make it through a difficult time in her life.

Your gift can help her become a part of the next generation of family and community builders striving to create safety, stability, and peace for all.

A donation today — or by becoming a monthly sustainer — helps ELAWC continue providing healing-centered services, community support, and spaces of care throughout the year.

Help us create a day where survivors feel seen, valued, and celebrated.

Thank you for continuing to stand with survivors and helping us create spaces rooted in healing, dignity, and hope.

We love this poem. It says it all, and is worth sharing every year. Whatever your circumstance, we wish you a day of joy and peace

on your Mother's Day — and every day.
