The Native Plant Symposium on November 18 is a favorite event for native plant lovers and gardeners from all over the region. Many of the country’s best speakers have presented on a wide range of topics, from the best native plants for your garden to in depth looks at the flora from native ecosystems.

CREW Plant Lab Director Dr. Valerie Pence has been working with Wesley Knapp of NatureServe to resurrect extinct plants from herbarium specimens. Although these seeds weren't originally collected for conservation purposes, we're trying to think outside of the box to help save plants in our rapidly changing world. It's one of the many ways CREW is helping to save species with science!
