It's National Rural Health Day!
November 21, 2019
Join us as we celebrate the #PowerOfRural
LORHN, our Network members, partners, residents and visitors all know #ThePowerOfRural every day of the year, but, today we celebrate just how wonderful it is to be rural. Today specifically we celebrate our successes and pledge our continued commitment to collaborate, communicate, educate, and innovate to overcome health issues.
Take The Pledge
The National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health is asking all rural health stakeholders to inspire communities across the country to address and resolve their most challenging population health issues. Make a promise to stay informed and involved with NOSORH and SORHs in 2019, helping to support their combined missions. Below is the current list of partners throughout Florida; let's grow this!

Want to Access Broadband Services for 65% less?
Lake Okeechobee Rural Health Network (LORHN) is committed to identifying innovative ways to meet the ever-changing needs and demands of its members and provide a structure for rural health providers to collaborate and improve quality, reduce cost and avoid duplication of services. We have identified a need for increased broadband services to provide the structure of the adoption of telehealth services and improve overall work efficiencies of health care providers.

Increased broadband connection can help rural patients access health services via telehealth. At this time we are gleaning information from eligible providers in Hendry, Glades, Okeechobee and Western Palm Beach & Martin County interested in joining a LORHN-led consortium to receive a 65% discount on broadband services. Please complete this survey or contact Tiffany Parrish to learn more.
