Wow, what a year! What a terrifying, devastating, inspiring, wonderful year. Like most of you, I’m more than ready to put 2020 behind us and not look back. But, amid all the craziness of this past year, there were some bright moments at Maria’s Bookshop that I think deserve some reflection.
First, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for supporting Maria’s Bookshop this year. Thank you for shopping local during a year when it was more important than ever, and also harder to do so than ever. And thank you for brightening our days at Maria’s by showing up with kindness and a ceaseless desire to read. The community support this year has blown us away, and we can’t thank you enough.
We also accomplished some amazing, creative things at Maria’s Bookshop in 2020. Our renovations turned out better than any of us could’ve imagined, we built a garden on Main Ave, and we launched some exciting new programs like our Book-A-Month Subscription program.
Until next year,
Evan
