Bring-a-Friend Toolkit

Bring-a-Friends are a great opportunity to invite the community to experience the outdoor adventure and fun Scouting provides.

For youth, Bring-a-Friend adventures are a chance to show their friends, neighbours and family how awesome Scouting is, and to give their friends a chance to learn more about the incredible adventures and experience it offers.

For the Group, it provides an opportunity to fill their Sections and to connect with more parents and potential Scouters.

A revitalized toolkit (found at h ttp://www.scouts.ca/scouters/brandcentre/bring-a-friend/ ) will provide you with the following to help you run a successful Bring-a-Friend:
  • Plan-Do-Review Checklist
  • Invitations for youth to extend to their friends, family and neighbours
  • Parent Sign- In Sheet
  • Recruitment Brochure for parents
  • Two- free session coupons
  • Phone Script to follow up with parents
  • Follow up e-mail to help parents register their child
  • Bring-a-Friend Adventure ideas

Have you ever wondered how volunteer positions at the area, council or national level are decided? Have you wanted to become more involved at the area or council level but are unsure where to start?
As the Team Lead for the Public Appointment Process at the National level I assist Scouters to help find the next commissioner.
I am looking for interested Scouters to help recruit and screen potential candidates. Please send me an email to introduce yourself!
If you have been thinking of expanding your volunteer experience to the area or council level, I'd like to hear from you too!
Thanks,
