Happy New Year!
From the Executive Director:

Yes, I realize the calendar year is more than half over. However, Leadership Oakland's fiscal year starts on July 1. And if the past couple of weeks are any indication, this is going to be a fantastic year for LO!

Here are some highlights:

  • Final selections have been made for the upcoming Cornerstone class, LOXXIX. Fifty-five dynamic and diverse professionals will kick-off their experience at Retreat in September. Plus, we have several leaders ready to apply for next year's cohort, LOXXX. Thirty years of leadership excellence!

  • Our Alumni Engagement and Fund Development committees are in full planning and execution mode as we identify ways to serve our more than 1,300 alumni and share the LO experience with more organizations throughout the region.

  • Thank you to the more than 20 alumni and friends who turned out on a very humid Saturday to help us move into our new offices at Baker College, Auburn Hills. They had us completely moved in a record-breaking two hours!!

We can't wait to see what the rest of the year holds. Enjoy the remaining days of summer!
