As this calendar year draws to a close, we are humbled and proud to reflect on our growth and evolution over the past four years since our inception. This year has been a particularly crucial year of growth: we nurtured several national partnerships that impacted Jewish professionals across a myriad of backgrounds on a wider scale than ever before, and significantly increased our capacity by expanding both our team and program offerings. With each year, we continue to refine our understanding of the varied needs of the Jewish nonprofit landscape and what we at Ta’amod can uniquely offer to the wider community.
These last two months, the Jewish community has faced immeasurable challenges. This moment has shown us in a whole new light how crucial it is for Jewish organizations to have the resources they need to foster and nourish safe, equitable, and human-centered workspaces. In the weeks following October 7th, we recognized a need for additional support and offered two virtual community gatherings for supervisors to connect with peers over the unique challenges they face as managers in this painful moment in time. As the center of Jewish American life, the wellness of our workplaces has never been more critical. Whether in houses of worship, education spaces, advocacy groups, or humanitarian organizations, our ability to fulfill our missions and meet the needs of the communities we serve is entirely dependent upon our willingness to prioritize our internal culture, especially during challenging times as these.
As we wrap up 2023, we want to extend our deep and heartfelt gratitude to our partners, participants, donors, and champions. You all make our work relevant and possible. May this new year be filled with growth, joy, and a deepened understanding of what it means to be in community. Wishing you all happy New Year!
B’Shalom,
In Peace,
Nicole
