Save the date!

Anchor Playhouse will be presenting "Cinderella" on Friday and Saturday, February 21 and 22 at 7 PM and again Sunday, February 23 at 2 PM.

This timeless classic tells the story of an orphan girl who, with the help of some magic, finds her prince. The story is old, but the telling is updated with a twist. Borrowing costumes and choreography from the hit series "Bridgerton", be sure to be on the lookout for your favorite characters!

Congratulations to our boys varsity powerlifters

who took 2nd place at their first meet of the season!

Hello Marine families!  Just a few reminders for this month as we get ready to have our Holiday Season.  First, we come back to school on Thursday, January 2nd.  Our second semester begins on Tuesday, January 21st so most students will have a new schedule so please pay attention to Skyward to see what classes your son/daughter will have.  If there are any changes that need to be made please let their counselor know.  They will have three days after the start of the semester to make those changes.  Thank you for all that you do to make our school and district such a great place to be!

Mr. Draheim

Dear MHS Marine Families,

Happy New Year and welcome back! I hope this message finds you rested and recharged after a joyful holiday season. As we begin this exciting new year, I want to take a moment to reflect on our shared goals and outline a vision for a successful start.

At MHS, we are committed to fostering a culture of excellence, inclusion, and collaboration. With each new year, we embrace the opportunity to build on our successes and tackle challenges with renewed determination. This is the perfect time to set fresh goals and cultivate habits that will support our students’ academic and personal growth.

Here are some key areas we’ll focus on together:

  1. Academic Excellence: Our goal is to maintain high standards of learning while ensuring every student has the resources and support they need to succeed. Encourage your student to take advantage of tutoring sessions during Anchor Hour, connect with their teachers, and stay organized with assignments and deadlines.
  2. Attendance Matters: Being present in class is one of the most significant contributors to student success. We’re aiming for a school-wide attendance rate of over 93% this year, and every day counts! Let’s work together to minimize absences and prioritize daily attendance.
  3. Engagement Beyond the Classroom: Participation in extracurricular activities, clubs, and community events enriches the high school experience. Whether it’s through sports, arts, or our growing Youth Apprenticeship Program, encourage your student to get involved and discover their passions.
  4. Strong Partnerships: A strong school-home partnership is critical to our collective success. Stay connected by attending parent-teacher conferences, attending information nights, and reading our regular communications. Your involvement makes a difference!

Together, we can make 2025 a year to remember for our students, families, and staff. Thank you for being an essential part of our school community and for supporting our vision of student success. Let’s start this new year strong—the best is yet to come!

Warm regards,

Steve Linssen
