The Festive Break went all too quickly for most of us, however I hope that you managed to find some much needed down time!

In 2018 the MemberWise Network celebrates its 10th birthday and has lots of great initiatives planned. The first will be our next national membership best practice conference, Membership Excellence 2018. We provide you with an update below on what we think could be our strongest conference programme to-date!

In this issue we announce our next Female Leaders in Membership seminar, we become accredited as a Provider of Training Excellence, update you on our latest MemberWise Recognised Suppliers, feature some great MemberWise Guest Blog articles, communicate the latest sector job vacancies and provide some key dates for your diary!

#MEMX 2018 - Official Conference Launch

We're pleased to announce the official launch of our next one-day national membership focused best practice conference - Membership Excellence 2018 (25th April / London)

This year's conference programme will provide delegates with the unique opportunity to attend 58 educational sessions delivered by 55 membership professionals/experts.

Topics are more targeted than ever before via the introduction of a dedicated new member research seminar track, a CPD/Governance seminar track and 2 Showcase tracks that will provde delegates with the opportunity to horizon search the latest membership solutions.

Overarching themes include increasing member participation, optimising member value, improving member engagement/experience, increasing new member acquisition, enhancing existing member retention and enabling growth.

Our great speakers will inspire and enthusedelegates to return to the office and change/develop activity to drive membership value and growth. They represent the sector's leading membership organisations and associations (including The Woodland Trust, BAFTA, Unison, RIBA ad a wide range of membership organisations and associations).

Female Leaders in Membership Event - 22nd February - London

The network is pleased to announce our first Feamale Leaders in Membership event of the year!

Our keynote speaker will be Sarah Hernandez, Chief Marketing Officer, at the Key, a leading membership organisation in the education sector (consisting of more than 120,000 senior school leaders and governors).

Title: The value of diversity and helping women succeed

The event will also feature co-mentoring sessions where female delegates can discuss and share challenges, ideas and questions.

The event is delivered in association with High Flying Divas and is hosted by MemberWise Recognised Supplier, Bates Wells Braithwaite LLP

Staff Induction Training Course (16th February 2018 / London)

We're preparing for our first induction training course of the year, created & delivered by the Society of Association and Membership Professionals (SAMP).

This great one-day training course provides new starters and returners (working within any department and at all levels/career stages) with the critical member focused knowledge and insight needed in order to 'hit the ground running'!

Learning outcomes:

- A clear understanding of 'membership' and its complexities
- Learn the skills/knowledge required to grow in confidence more quickly
