A Note from our Executive Director

Dear Lori,

Happy New Year!

2024 is a LEAP year, and I know it’s going to be LEAP’s year! To begin with, we are leaping into Lompoc. Last month, we signed an agreement with Trinity Church of the Nazarene to use their facility to expand our children’s center into Lompoc. Currently, we are working on making the improvements necessary for licensing. Once we are licensed, we’ll work on preparing the space for high-quality early childhood education.

Save the date for our LEAP Awards, which will be happening on LEAP day – February 29. I hope you’ll join us to honor two extraordinary women: Katya Armistead and Kristen Miller.

On February 1, we are hosting a bilingual virtual town hall featuring State Senator Monique Limon and State Assemblymember Gregg Hart. This is a great opportunity for you to ask questions and engage with our Elected Officials. Register for the event by clicking here.

As we leap into the new year, we are eager to expand our work in the community, support and engage more families and care for more children. We invite you to be part of this exciting journey with us.

Executive Director

LEAPing into Lompoc

We are so excited to announce the plans to open our brand-new childcare center in Lompoc in 2024! After years of dedicated service in Santa Barbara and Goleta, we are thrilled to expand our reach further across the beautiful Central Coast. The upcoming center, at Trinity Church of the Nazarene promises to be a beacon of care and learning for the little ones in Lompoc.

“LEAP is so excited to partner with Trinity Nazarene to open more child care spaces in Lompoc! By LEAPing into Lompoc, we are bringing our childcare expertise to where the greatest need is. We look forward to getting to know the Lompoc community in the coming years,” shared Lori Goodman, LEAP’s Executive Director.
