In May, Jack's Fund was honored at Pattern's Accelerate Conference in Salt Lake City as one of their charities to "give back." On the conference stage, we shared stories and raised awareness about melanoma. Thank you Garrett (Jack's Marathon Team) and Pattern for your generosity and support.

Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) designated "This Run's for Jack" 5k as an Illinois Championship Event. The goal of the RRCA Event Series is to celebrate and shine a spotlight on well-run, community-focused events and to award their top performing runners.

Jack's Fund celebrated the 20th Annual "This Run's for Jack" by providing sunscreen, skin screenings and awareness events to 20+ different community events this year.

A tradition at the October 5k is to name an official race starter. This year we had two honorees. They were there from the very beginning: 20 year volunteer Pat Deegan and 20 year sponsor Mike Fagan. Race morning, we also welcomed and celebrated with over 600 runners/walkers, 100 volunteers and raised $42,000. Together, we are making a difference! Sixty (60) runners joined Jack's Marathon Team and chose to make a difference in the fight against melanoma by raising funds while training for a marathon. Thank you for sharing your stories and your dedication to the mission. A heartfelt thank you to Coach Everett for his training plans and unwavering support for the team. We look forward to welcoming many of you back in 2024.

We envision a world where every adult and child is aware of the risks of melanoma and takes preventative measures; where those who suffer from melanoma receive comfort and healing; and ultimately, where every case of melanoma will be completely curable.
