Eunice Recommends:

We Are Definitely Human by X. Fang

One night, three mysterious beings show up in Mr. Li’s field. They insist they are human and are stranded because their car has broken down. So Mr. Li does what any kind human would do: invite them to stay the night and help fix the strangers’ car the next day. While it is clear to the reader (and Mr. Li’s dog) that these beings are definitely NOT human, Mr. Li and his neighbors offer their help without judgment or skepticism, illustrating the importance of kindness and hospitality. This picture book teaches a great lesson in a humorous and clever way.
