Dear Friends,
From all of us at the President Woodrow Wilson House Museum, we wish you a safe, healthy and happy New Year! This last year has been full and vibrant at the museum and we are hopeful and encouraged by the steadfast support of our donors and the community.

With your support, here's what we accomplished in 2022:

  • Virtual and In-Person Speaker Program about the history of the communities that call Georgetown, Washington, D.C. home.

  • Grand Opening of our exhibit, Suffrage Outside, Inside: The 19th Amendment at 101 celebrating women and harnessing new objects, images, newspaper clippings and artifacts to build upon this remarkable, complex, and relevant history.

  • Meaningful, productive, and rewarding experiences for 10 scholars through the Scholars Program, now recognized as a President's Volunteer Service Award Organization.

  • A Marder-Vaughn Teacher-in-Residence Grant enabled a local, D.C. high school civics teacher to create 12 lesson plans for elementary, middle, and high school civics classes using President Wilson and the museum as a primary resource for instruction.

  • A National Endowment for the Humanities Grant, For the People, by the People - in a think-tank-like setting, facilitated and coordinated four graduate-level interns from Historically Black Colleges and Universities to research, collaborate and recommend new narratives to incorporate at the museum.

  • New and exciting, high-quality digital content bringing the Wilson House online and providing our followers with virtual tours and content.

  • Our multi-year landscape project to restore our historic garden and create a safe environment for guests, staff, fauna, flora, and our environment.

  • More self-guided walking tours of Dupont Circle, Sheridan Circle and Observatory Circle.

  • Schools and communities welcomed into our historic house museum virtually and in person to learn more about President Wilson, his legacy, and his place in history.

  • Brand new programs for the Girl Scouts were brought to life at the museum, including offering a brand new Girl Scout badge!

  • Six new Advisory Council members nominated to join the Wilson House Advisory bringing more diverse perspectives and understandings to our Council.

  • and... we maintained the amazing collection of authentic and historic artifacts at the Wilson House.

None of this is possible without help and donations from our friends and supporters and we thank you for your donations, participation and belief in our mission - the stewardship of the museum, its collections, the building and its garden.

This December, two generous Advisory Council members, Cary Fuller and Ed Gerber EACH match all gifts, dollar-for-dollar. Your 2022 tax-deductible donation is tripled when you donate by midnight tonight.

Together, we can continue our work as we head into 2023! Thank you for your help in making this possible!
