De-Greening of the Church THIS Sunday
After Church Service this Sunday, January 5, we will "degreen" the sanctuary. We will move the poinsettias to the Chapel where they will be accessible to parishioners.
The Altar Guild will attach the red bows to the styrofoam boards in the Sacristy closet. The Creche and pieces need to be stored in the Sacristy.
I do hope some of you will be available to help. It shouldn't take long!
Thank you. Take home a poinsettia!
Blessings and Happy New Year,
Ruth

Dedicating the Altar Flowers
Our “Remembering Our Loved Ones” program is beginning in January.
If you would like to have a Sunday’s Altar bouquet dedicated to the memory of a loved one, you need to…
•take an envelope found in the pew and fill in the information, providing the name of your loved one, the Sunday on which you wish to make a donation to the Flower Fund in memory of your loved one and your name. For your information, the cost of each bouquet is $40.50; whatever you donate will be appreciated.
•A notation will be included in your loved one’s selected Sunday’s bulletin, stating “An Altar bouquet this Sunday is dedicated to the memory of the name of your loved one by your name.
•Remember, it is wise to fill in the envelope in advance, reserving the Sunday of dedication.
•Seal the envelope, and drop it in the offertory basket.

“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?”
Isaiah 23:19
Happy New Year!
Thank you to all of the musicians who participated in music at Trinity in December. From Evensong to Handel’s Messiah to Christmas Eve, the walls of our historic church were reverberating with incredible and worshipful music all month. Our musicians worked tirelessly to prepare, our guest musicians added a very special touch, and the presence of YOU in the pews was a true blessing.
And now we are here, in the “bleak midwinter” of January. My children are practically begging Mother Nature for snow, and we grownups are settling in for the long winter ahead. This time after all of the Christmas excitement can feel a little bit awkward, like we don’t quite know what to do with ourselves after all of the “Glorias” and pageantry, but it’s also an important time to settle into the goodness of this season of hope and new beginnings.
What ‘new thing’ will spring forth for you this winter? Could it be a new way to minister to others, or perhaps a new outlook on life? January is a month of possibilities, and giving God our listening ears and open minds is a gift we can give ourselves.
This evening, choir rehearsal resumes and the choir will unload their choir folders of all the amazing music they sang this past month, to make room for something new. The feeling of a new start is exciting!
God bless your new year!
Jennifer

Movie and Popcorn - This Sunday!
Our attendance at Trinity Church School is growing! We have more kids attending more often, and they have already earned their first attendance award! This Sunday, 1/5/2025, kids will watch a movie and eat popcorn during church school. Our movie, The Star, is a kid-friendly, PG-rated movie that premiered in 2017. This animated film features a star-studded cast and tells Christ's birth story through the eyes of some helpful, furry friends. Kids are encouraged to wear pajamas and bring a favorite stuffed animal. This is a really fun Sunday for the kids and is one they've been looking forward to. We hope your child can attend!
Upcoming Events:
Sunday, 1/5/2025, Church school resumes, Movie and Popcorn!
Sunday, TBD, Valentines for Troops
