Happy New Year!!
New Year, New Experiences, New Memories to make!

We're looking forward to the New Year and the end of another year of Covid!

As we look back on 2021, with the challenges the year brought, we are hopeful for the future and all the possibilities and opportunities that 2022 offers.

While the community spread of Omicron has delayed in-person socials, we do have a busy January and February planned on zoom.  Please check the portal for regular online events and our special days with a variety of guest speakers.

We wish you a happy and healthy 2022 filled with new and rewarding experiences and friendships.
If this time....
We've posted this video before, but it is a lovely reminder at the start of the new year that time is precious, every day is a gift, and hope is everything.

We wish you a New Year filled with hope, light and better days ahead.

Congratulations to Debbie G!
Debbie was the lucky winner of the Acclaim Health draw for a painting from artist Barbara Chapman.

This lovely painting ( the photo doesn't really show how beautiful it is in real life) was donated by Barb to support our annual holiday fundraising for Acclaim Health's new Dementia Centre.

Widowed Friends and members raised $545 that will be donated to Acclaim Health. Thank you to everyone who purchased a draw ticket and a special huge thanks to Barb for donating the painting.

Enjoy the painting Debbie!!

The turn of the century - 1901-1918

Sandwiched between the Victorian Age and the catastrophe of WW1, the Edwardian time was when women wore big hats, the men drove big cars, and the rich were not ashamed to live big.

But things change--and fast!  Like the Titanic, this society is on a collision course and nothing will be the same again.

Omicron permitting, we've booked two more sessions to help out in January and February. Winter is often a difficult time for those who experience food shortages and it is often hard for Food For Life to find help with food sorting.

We'd love to have you join us on Jan 19th and/or Feb 16th from 1pm-3:30pm.

Please RSVP on the portal to confirm your attendance.
