Safest Islands in the Caribbean
Going on a Caribbean cruise? Travel + Leisure announced Aruba as the safest island in the Caribbean from the 2025 Safety Index, with compiled data from sources like the U.S. State Department, local law enforcement, NOAA, and WHO. Aruba received a perfect score for its U.S. Travel Advisory status (Level 1, the safest rating). Rounding out the top 3 were Barbados at No. 2 and Grenada and Curacao tied for No. 3. Coming in at No. 5 was Antigua and Barbuda, No. 6 was Puerto Rico, No. 7: Dominican Republic, No. 8: Saint Lucia, No. 9: The Bahamas and last place was Jamaica.
